  Rules

Rules

Floor people are to consider the best interest of the game and fairness as the top priority in the decision making process. Unusual circumstances can on occasion dictate that the technical interpretation of the rules be ignored in the interest of fairness. The floor person decision is final. By playing in the tournament you agree to abide by the rule .If an incorrect rule interpretation or decision by an employee in good faith the establishment has no liability.

The single chip rule will be used in all tournaments

Odd chips: where there is more than one high hand any odd chips will go to the first player after the button.
Side pots: each side pot will be split as a separate pot. They will not be mixed together.
Chip race: when it is time to colour up chips they will be race off with a max. One chip going to any player. The chip race will always start in the no. 1 seat.
At the beginning of a tournament or if a new table opens the button will always start at the highest numbered occupied seat e.g. seat 9 in a 9 handed table
Dead button: Tournament play will use a dead button.
Penalties: A penalty MAY be invoked if a player exposes any card with action pending, if a card goes off the table, if soft play occurs or similar incidents take place. Penalties WILL be invoked in the case of abuse, disruptive behaviour or similar incidents. Penalties available to the floor supervisors/TD are verbal warnings, 10, 20 or 30 minutes away from the table and may be used with discretion. These are to be utilised and may include disqualification. A player who is disqualified will have his/her chips removed from the table. A disqualified player forfeits all entry fees and registration fees.
Acting out of turn: A Player who acts out of turn loses the option to raise on that round; any chips bet are committed to the pot.
Half-bet rule: if a player puts in a raise of 50% or more of the previous bet he will be required to make a full raise. The raise will be exactly the minimum raise allowed.
All cards will be turned face up once a player is all-in and all action is complete.
A misdeal occurs in the following instances: when two or more cards are exposed during the deal, cards being dealt to an empty position and extra cards being dealt to any position.
The one player to a hand rule will be enforced.
Tournament and satellite seats will be randomly assigned.
English only must be spoken during the play of hands.
A player who wishes to use a mobile phone MUST step away from the table in order to do so. Also it is impossible for a player to hold a telephone and a live hand at the same time.  This includes the use of Bluetooth earpieces.
There will be no foreign chips on the table except for a maximum of one card cap.
Late entries: players may enter until the first level of blinds is complete. Any player arriving after this will not be allowed to enter.
When time has elapsed in a round and a new round is announced the new limits apply to the next hand. A hand has begun with first riffle of the new shuffle.
A player may not miss a hand. They must re-buy or announce re-buy before the next hand starts or they are knocked out of the tournament. If a player announces the intent to re-buy before the first card is dealt that player is “playing behind” and is obliged to make the re-buy.
Players must keep their highest denomination chips visible at all times.
Verbal declarations as to the contents of a players hand are not binding. However at management’s discretion any player deliberately miscalling their hand may be penalised.
No rabbit hunting is allowed.
A change of deck cannot be requested. It can only be changed if a card is damaged or marked.
A player who intentionally dodges his blind(s) when moving from a broken table may forfeit the blind(s) and/or incur a penalty. The money will be put into the next pot and will be considered dead money.
All chips must be visible at all times. Players may not have tournament chips in their pockets at any time. A player who has chips in his pockets will forfeit the chips and the forfeited chips will be removed from play.
Table balancing: When moving players the Floor person will move the next Big Blind from the appropriate table to the WORST seat available on the table requiring a player. Incoming players can come in to any seat (including Small and Big Blinds and the Button) and will be dealt anywhere apart from between the blinds.
Breaking tables: at the beginning of the tournament should it be necessary to open a new table for late entries the positions to move will be 1 and 9 regardless of button position. When a table breaks down during a tournament the positions for the remaining players will be determined by the drawing of seats. Players can enter on any position except the small blind. Should a player draw the big blind they must post.
If a player kills an unprotected hand the player will have no redress and will not be entitled to his chips back. The only exception to this would be if a player raised and his raise had not yet been called – he would be entitled to receive his raise back.
Dealers cannot kill a winning hand that was turned face up and was obviously the winning hand.
Verbal declarations in turn are binding. Action out of turn may be binding.
Clock procedure: once a reasonable amount of time has passed and the clock is called for, a player has one minute to make a decision. If action has not been taken by the time the minute is over there will be a 10 second countdown. If the player has not acted on his hand by the time the countdown is over the hand will be dead.
Management reserve the right to cancel or alter any tournament at its sole discretion in the best interest of the casino or its players.
A player must be seated in their seat by the time the last hole card is dealt to the button or their hand will be declared dead and may not be played.
Players, whether in a hand or not, may not discuss the hands until all action is complete. Players are obliged to protect the other players in the tournament at all times. Discussing cards discarded or hand possibilities are not allowed. A penalty may be given for discussion of hands during play.
A player who deliberately exposes his cards to another player in a pot will have his hand killed and may incur a penalty.
MIN BET: is the amount of the big blind.
MIN RAISE: is double the previous bet.
EXPOSED CARDS: Deliberately exposed cards will be deemed to be dead. Accidentally exposed cards will incur a variety of penalties, depending on circumstances. Usually, a player will only be allowed to check, call or fold.
